There are a few people that you just want to root for. Born with one hand, Shaquem Griffin has wowed at the combine so far. Before the draft, he was on people’s draft board going around the 7th round. Well, he might have changed his fate with the unreal show he is putting on this week. The fact that he was the defensive MVP of the Peach Bowl, where he made 12 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, including 1.5 sacks, in a win over Auburn to complete a 13-0 season for the UCF Knights and barely got an invite to Indy is a problem. Well, he is the making the most of it running a record breaking 4.38 40 time for a linebacker. That is fucking insane. For reference, Penn State running back and potential #1 pick Saquon Barkley ran it in 4.40 seconds. This is just my opinion – I think any football player who has a chip on their shoulder and something to prove is a player you can always depend on. Oh he also threw some weight around this morning benching 225 lbs. 20 times. Would love to see the Jets snag him in the third or fourth round. Most linebackers in the NFL with two hands aren’t worth a damn. Shaquem Griffin seems like a perfect fit on most teams – he’s fast, physical, and a damn good competitor with a chip on his shoulder.
